My husband and I were looking for a Martial Arts school in the Wausau area to enroll our child. We seen an ad for a free demo class for Master Halama’s School of Martial Arts and tried a free lesson. Our child absolutely loved it! He did not want to go home! My husband and I also loved how family oriented the school was.
The demo class was a half hour long with Master Halama. He briefly let some students with a higher belt ranking take over for a few minutes under close supervision to further build their skills. He then went back to instructing the kids.
The price of the classes were comparable to the other Taekwondo classes in the Central Wisconsin area. (We chose a package that offered lessons for a year). We moved from a different town in Central Wisconsin and noticed that our child’s Martial Arts lesson packages from his previous school were a little more expensive.
At Halama’s, Jessica was excellent! She was very knowledgeable and explained the different package options thoroughly. The prices were transparent.
Overall, Halama’s Champion Martial Arts school has been a great way for my child to learn positive social skills, respect, self discipline, perseverance, and leadership skills. I have already been able to see improvement with my child’s concentration and self discipline when he completes his grade school homework.
The quality of Master Halama’s instruction continues to be nothing but excellent! I would recommend Halama’s Champion Martial Arts to any adult or child who wants to learn Taekwondo!

Both my step son and son really wanted to learn martial arts so based on a quick google search and reading reviews we signed up for a consultation with Halamas. It’s been over a month and the amazing impact this has had on the boys is fantastic. Very friendly staff and teachers. The kids also learn from their own peers. They take it very seriously. Amazing flexible schedules for classes for working parents as well. Highly recommend!

My son started in 2020 and had no clue what he was doing, but he wanted to try it out because it looked fun. Now, it’s 2022 and he is almost a black belt. He is in instructor course and learning how to become an instructor! It has helped him with his focus and self confidence as well. Master Halama’s is a family oriented place. My son has so much fun every time he goes there and he is there 5 days a week! He loves helping out with the younger classes and teaching. I highly recommend having your son or daughter try it!

My son and I were looking for a more traditional martial art. We found Halama's Martial Arts. My son was being bullied at school and I, at 41, didn't think I would see 50.

My son is no longer bullied and actively participates in school events. His confidence level is through the roof and he feels like he has accomplished something worthwhile.

I have quit smoking and lost 30 pounds. I feel better in every way and am no longer fearful of 50. In addition, I have progressed further in TKD than I had originally hoped. I am training to earn my black belt now.

We were looking for something for my 4-year old today to stimulate his mind and learn something new. Halama's has been great! I love the casual atmosphere where they give dedicated attention to each person, regardless of age. My son is doing great and absolutely loves going.

Biography

Since the age of 5, my life has been a remarkable journey through the world of Taekwondo. What started as love for Ninja Turtles and Karate Kid has blossomed into a lifelong dedication to this ancient martial art, shaping not only my physical abilities but also my character and values.

My journey in Taekwondo is not just about personal accomplishments. It is about extending a hand to those who seek to better themselves, both physically and mentally. The heart of Taekwondo lies not only in the mastery of techniques but also in the empowerment it provides to individuals to overcome challenges and realize their full potential.

My passion lies in helping others achieve their goals through Taekwondo. Witnessing the transformation of students, watching them develop not just as skilled practitioners but as confident and determined individuals, is a source of immense satisfaction. There is a unique joy in guiding someone through their struggles, watching them rise stronger and more resilient with each obstacle conquered.

The philosophy of Taekwondo extends far beyond the confines of the dojang. It’s about respect for oneself and others, cultivating humility, and embracing a never-ending journey of self-improvement. These values have become an integral part of my identity, influencing not only how I train but how I live my life.

As a 7th Dan Grand Master, my goal is to continue spreading the wisdom of Taekwondo, fostering an environment where students not only learn techniques but also cultivate life skills. Through teaching, mentoring, and leading by example, I aim to inspire the next generation to embark on their own journeys of self-discovery and empowerment.

In a world that often demands instant results, Taekwondo teaches patience and the beauty of incremental progress. It serves as a reminder that growth is a continuous process, and success is born out of dedication and determination. My journey has been a testament to this, and I am humbled to be able to share this wisdom with others.

From the young child who first stepped onto the mat to the 7th Dan Grand Master who stands today, my life has been shaped by Taekwondo’s teachings. With each class I teach, each student I guide, and each challenge I overcome, I am reminded that the spirit of Taekwondo is not confined to the body—it is a flame that ignites the soul and propels us toward greatness.
